About Us
Our Firm
Dworkin, Chambers, Williams, York, Benson & Evans, P.C., was founded in 1991. Initially, the Firm concentrated exclusively on workers' compensation defense. In 1995, the Firm expanded its practice to include employment law, insurance defense, commercial litigation, prosecution of subrogation matters, and property and casualty defense, areas of law naturally related to workers' compensation. The attorneys and Shareholders in this Firm have significant trial, hearing and arbitration experience. Our attorneys appear in all Colorado courts. Our peers rated us with the highest rating allowed, AV as noted in Martindale-Hubbell.
Our Clients
Representative clients include numerous insurers and self-insured entities authorized to conduct business in Colorado, including the City of Boulder, Colorado County Pool, Home Depot, Kodak, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Phelps Dodge, Gallagher Bassett Services, Sedgwick Claims Management Services, American Furniture Warehouse, Stock Building Supply, The Broe Group, Valero Energy, the City of Colorado Springs, CNA Insurance, DaVita, BCS Insurance Company, and Qwest.
Our Goal
While we are zealous advocates for our clients, we pride ourselves on evaluating matters with an eye toward economics (weighing cost of defense against amicable resolution). We dedicate ourselves to a program of cost efficient case management consistent with the highest levels of professionalism and zealous advocacy. We are receptive to client's special needs. We strive to assign cases to attorneys who have experience in the specific area at issue to avoid unnecessary and expensive duplication of services. If necessary, we will refer to other attorneys in our office who have expertise in specific aspects of a claim. We rely upon the use of legal assistants and paralegals for appropriate tasks, including discovery and investigation, which results in significant cost savings for the client. We communicate frequently with the Division of Workers' Compensation, Office of Administrative Courts, Colorado Insurance Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Colorado Civil Rights Division, all state and federal courts in Colorado, and have earned their respect and cooperation. In summary, our goal is to represent our clients in the most effective and cost-efficient manner possible by drawing upon the knowledge and experience of our attorneys who have represented insurers in the workers' compensation, commercial litigation, and labor and employment arena over the years.
