Melissa L. Bates
Ms. Bates received her B.S. from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. In 2008, she graduated in the top third of her class from the University of South Dakota School of Law. During law school, Ms. Bates received a CALI Award for Excellence in Employment Law, was Vice President of the Moot Court Board and was inducted into the national Order of the Barristers. Prior to joining Dworkin, Chambers, Williams, York, Benson, & Evans, P.C., she served as the law clerk for South Dakota’s Seventh Judicial Circuit. Ms. Bates is licensed in South Dakota and Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and Denver Bar Association. Her primary practice area is workers’ compensation.
